One colour is, in fact, the composition of all the others.
Following the idea that all colours content all colours, the “Horror Gallery” collection is impressionist in the way of applying the colours. Treating colour as a meaning, they are explaining facts and environment from each subject.
Collection speaks about horror through faces of real kidnappers, rapists, killers.. Big proportions, bigger eyes, “Horror Gallery” is expressionist because they are not realistic as much as they wanna express their feelings, the energy from the subjects.
Because each situation from each killer was different, every painting is unlike the others and technique must be dynamic, improving itself, strong.
Portraits in “Horror Gallery” are telling stories about culture and development.
Portraits speak about history, from last century until nowdays.
These are real monsters. And monsters get deep on us.
